In Marrakesh-Safi Province, which has been most severely impacted, Proof of Address (POA) completed before September 9, 2023, will be used to identify users. Users in the Marrakesh-Safi Province who completed POA prior to this date will each receive $100 in BNB credited to their Binance accounts.
We are aware that many users in the impacted area might not have finished POA yet. We will therefore gift $25 in BNB to the Binance account of any existing user who completes POA after September 9, 2023, but before September 30, 2023.
Additionally, we will airdrop $10 in BNB to each of our active transacting users in Morocco who are not in the impacted area.
We anticipate that our initiatives will reach about 70,000 Moroccan Binance users. Our consumers will start receiving the funds on September 12, 2023.
People sometimes lose access to regular banking in the wake of natural disasters, just when more funds are required to help cover food, medical supplies, and other basic necessities.
As cryptocurrencies allow for quick, inexpensive, borderless, and transparent transactions, they are now being utilized more frequently to send money to catastrophe victims.

Additionally, Binance Charity has opened a public donation address where anyone can send donations. To assist those in need, we will give the entire amount of cryptocurrency received at this address to a recognized NGO (which will shortly be notified). Donations in BNB, BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, or BUSD can be made to the emergency earthquake appeal.
